10000 Cr. for Vidharba!!!
That’s the budget spread across a span of 3 years (not 5 years, which makes us think, if maybe the cabinet is expecting change in Maharashtra politics) by the "New Government" for Vidharbha. One can't help to wonder, if development is the true motive behind this grand investment plan or is it the price our government is willing to pay to calm the Statehood agitation. Chief Minister, Shri Ashok Chavan has come out with the oldest congress trick...promises. At the center the congress grand masters relied on the same old trick to calm the Telangana statehood movement, KC Rao who brought the entire state of Andra Pradesh to almost a stand still with his 11 day fast was invited to New Delhi only after his complete recovery. In the midst of celebrations agitators seem to have forgotten the delay in that visit.
May be the state leadership is playing for the same roll of dices in the state.
Taking away no credit from the cabinet that has included some very ambitious plans for Vidharbha, also known as the least developed region of Maharashtra. However one needs to substantiate the reason for investment, the execution of this investment and the outcome of this investment. Our politicians have mastered the skill of painting rosy pictures for the “aam janata” as we observe some are cartoonist while other publishes poetries.
Hope this time around Congress is not just thinking of conquest for the next elections but actually puts head to administration.
